Mac Geekery uses three advertising companies to serve ads, and each is good for a certain type of advertisement. Review them below and select the kind of advertisement you would like to serve. For large orders we would be willing to put up a custom ad, but please make sure one of the following doesn’t serve your ad first.
- Google: Google will serve your text ad or your 300×250 image advertisement. These are placed square in the middle of the stories that get linked from outside sites are are the prime advertising space.
- Upside: They appear on every story page and see a majority of traffic. They have a higher click-through than other types.
- Downside: Google’s prices vary and are dictated by Google, not MG.
- Scheme: PPC or PPM
- To Signup: Go to an article and click on the link at the top of the Google ad.
- Blog Ads: These are image and text ads that run along the side of every page, including the indexes. Using graphics no more than 150px wide and a paragraph of text or two, you can deliver your message however you wish.
- Upside: Graphics and text make for a powerful message.
- Downside: Not as large as Google’s ad.
- Scheme: Duration.
- To Signup: Click on the text above the Gadget Network logo to signup for just MG. For a list of other great sites to advertise on, including MG, click on the Gadget Network logo.
