Help!... I need somebody. Help! I want ... Help! My ipod quit working. No buffoonary, just up and quit. Screen is blank. USP hookup is blank. Nothing. Nodda. Zip! Anyone have a clue what happened? How I can fix? Help! I would like to edit one of the Preference menus of iChat so that it no longer displays one of the checkbox options. Can any of you point me in the right direction? thanks OK, here are my questions: Hi! I’ve partionend my harddisc, one with Mac OSX and one with Linux, Ubuntu. Everything worked well until I installed Tiger, 10.4. Then the abitlity to make a choice when i start my computer disappeared and now it only starts Mac OSX. I can’t start my Ubunu anymore…! Does anyone know how to solve this? Directly when the computer starts I want something like this: Choose: Thanks in advance, I want to replace my Blackberry 7100g with a phone I can stand to use. I would like to find the best possible phone for world wide service, great reception, and compatibility with a Mac. It looks like the W600i might be the best candidate, but I'm interested in learning of others if there are any. From what I've read, I am too hard on phones to try RAZR or SLVR. Also, I have an iPod, so I don't really need the iTunes, but I'm open to suggestion! Hi there, I have managed to stupidly delete all my contacts from my address book and my cellphone with iSync and was wondering if anyone knew of a way I could get them back from the ‘datasync.db’ file?? Is there any reason why the firewire drive I have used for back-up for the last couple of years would no longer be bootable? It always has been, but now while I can choose it as a startup disk it will not boot. I just get the apple image on my screen. Is there anything I should look for? Anyway to fix. Disk utility shows no problems on either the built in HD or the firewire drive. Ever since the 2 security updates and the 10.4.5 update things have been acting weird, though I thought I had things back to normal. The firewire drive is 10.4.3 (last time I did a full back-up) and the built in is 10.4.5. Oh and I was using cocktail to fix things, could that have affected anything. Thanks for any help. Oh, well, here I am trying desperately to use one of the great differenciating capabilities in Apples WLAN world: WDS. Running several Macs in a WLAN that should use WDS to distribute and extend range of my network. All (2) AEx are using 6.3, the base is set up with a Fritzbox Fon 5050 as a router into the wide world of the internet. Nothing seems to convince the automatic update process to work, although both AEx and the network use the same password, the process stops where the PW for the second has to be entered – it is simply not accepted. Is there anywhere a troubleshooting solution for this available? Ah… just to add some spice: It worked before I took the second one out to use it in another environment for just a moment. Then – nothing My Ibook hard drive only has 10 GB on it. So I’m replacing it with my 40 gig drive, which doesn’t have OS X on it. How can I install OS X on it before putting it in my laptop? When I try to install PHP 5.1.2 on my MacBook Pro I get an error message at the end of install. Looking at the console, PHP has been installed correctly but can’t be initialized by Apache. |
