Have I been hacked?June 16, 2009 - 8:06am
I got one of these: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=606716 Kinda scary.. Then I noticed a network on my computer. I did not have the authority to disconnect from it. the next day I was no longer connected to the network, can’t find it now. I can now go into preferences/network fine, no error messages, no mystery application. I longer own my master password. (WTF?!) I am still the Administrator, and only user set for the computer. There are also files in my trash I don’t recognize. Strange numbered ones. I tried restarting from my OSX CD to replace some of the system files but attempts with an external CDRW and have been unsuccessful and my internal is shot. I am using a Microsoft Mouse with a zoom function. When I start in safe mode it zooms in and becomes unusable.. so that option’s out. how do I reset my computer’s master password? Was someone using my computer as a slave? Any idea what’s goin on – I’m kind of worried. Thanks, About hacked9207 |

To reset your master password, logout all users except an admin user, then delete /Library/Keychains/FileVaultMaster.cer and /Library/Keychains/FileVaultMaster.keychain. Then you can go into Security prefpane and set a master password under FileVault tab.
The new Master Password will NOT work to unlock a FileVault account that was created under old master password. So if you have a FileVault account set up, go into it, turn off FileVault, then turn it back on again.

Thanks!
It looks like someone is used Samba to create an alias of my hard drive on the network. My whole file system is up there and I can’t get rid of it. Any ideas?
