I’m setting up the spotlight web module and have configured everything according to

My search results are coming back empty.

Is there a way to see the content of the file created by mdimport?

Make sure you enable spotlight indexing for the root volume. If your web documents are on a different volume, then that needs to be specified, i.e.

mdutil -i on /Volumes/Volume2
