Okay, Mac Geeks, solve that one for me. That screenshot is completely unedited except for cropping and PNG-izing.

If I recall correctly, this started happening around the time I upgraded to 10.4 last year. I've pretty much just "dealt with it" since then. But that doesn't mean it's not still annoying. For images it's especially bad, since it not only shows all image viewing and editing apps, but also all web browsers… Pretty much anything that can show an image. The resulting menu is so long it doesn't fit on my 12" PowerBook's screen.

If there's a correlation between how many times an app is repeated in the menu and something else, I haven't found it yet. Yes, I do have only one copy of each app installed (except for DivX Converter… oops. Just deleted both of them because I never use that thing anyway).
