my powerbook recently began to reject my user password for my admin account. i know this doesnt JUST happen on its own, trust me, but it did. i can log into the non-admin account just fine and i can login as root just fine. so easy fix, i log in a root and reset my password. i did so and one day and several logins from sleep later and my password is not accepted again!

i did the standard troubleshooting…. repair disk permissions, booting into open firmware and resetting all nvram. any other ideas?

(i am running os x 10.4.9 … yes i know theres system 10.4.10 and i haven’t installed it yet because of an issue with some midi software i have blah blah blah)
