NetbootApril 22, 2009 - 2:38am
Does anybody know a way to properly disable PXE (Netboot) on a client running OSX 10.5? I want to prevent that this client machine is “overtaken” by software like LANDESK in a deployment. Normally the Netwok server will drop a file on a client so it ‘ll boot from network and request the image. Even if the user has administrator rights and filvault enabled, the image will be deployed…. Is the a way to prevent this on the client? I think is must be disabled in the EFI ut don’t know howto and if possible so anyone? About Netsurfer |

You could set a firmware password. You then need to enter the password to netboot, boot from cd, bootcamp etc
