I posted this in a local forum and was given this website as somewhere someone may have a answer!

This is possibly an impossible task

When I was little my first experience of computers was my dad’s Apple Mac (the very first one!) and I used to play games on it. Later on as he upgraded his macs I still played the same games. No idea if they were on a disc or on the hard drive.

Does anyone know maybe a forum somewhere I could ask if anyone knows the game? I don’t know its name or what genre it would be classed under. I shall try explain:

It was pretty much black and white, 2-D, no animation as such. There was a column on the right where you typed in commands eg. Go North, Eat food etc. Basically as you gave it a command the screen would change. and whatever happened was typed out under your command.

I doubt anyone here will know the game but it would be help if anyone knows the kind of game I mean. I think I started when I was 4 or 5 so earliest 1987 probably. I think the player was doing some kind of quest for a wizard at a castle or something.

One bit that I remember was occasionally you coul open a random door and end up in a dinosaur pit!! When I was young I always died then, but I lkearnt that you could pt a freezw spell on him then punch him loads and keep doing that

And there was giant scary rabbit. I can’t remember what he did but I remember going in his burrow and he had a carrot.

Haha.

I know it’s fuck all to go on but just maybe…?
