Retaining order of minimized windows in dock after maximizingHere’s a dock behavior that has annoyed me for a long time: say you have a bunch of minimized windows in the dock. When you maximize any window except the rightmost one from the dock and then minimize it again, the window gets placed at the rightmost end of the dock rather than at the slot where it came from. As I collect minimized windows in the dock, I get used to where they are, only to have them shuffled upon re-minimization. I see the dock functioning as a bookshelf, and as such, I expect it to honor the placement of items when maximizing and minimizing. Does anyone out there know if this dock behavior can be changed? It’s not something I’ve ever heard of being able to change. Behavior like that is really something on a low level inside a program and very rarely has a way of being controlled outside of that.
That said, perhaps some enterprising monkey could make a SIMBL plugin that could do it. As I have philosophical differences with the concept of code injection, that monkey would not be me.
