Episode 2: It Goes to 11October 5, 2006 - 6:35pm
Topics this time:
The first podcast was made with Garageband’s iChat conference feature, even though we were in the same room. It was the only way I knew to make different tracks for people with two USB headsets since they’re completely different audio sources and GB only let me pick one. I tried Soundflower and some other program, but it only mixed one device into the Soundflower channel and I couldn’t pick which one of the 16 it would go into. I didn’t read around enough, it would appear. Now we’re using Audio Hijack and Soundflower’s 16-channel widget and have both mics hooked up to the MacBook Pro and it sounds a lot better now. You’re welcome. Discuss the podcast below.

I read some where that the VM is what mac uses instead of a swap file. This is way after the fact but if he had understood that the mac doesn’t need a swap file, his question probably would have been better answered
VM is virtual memory, which is another name for a swap file.
