Welcome to Mac Geekery! Let’s start things off with what we’re not: we’re not here to educate the masses on how to use their computers. We’re not here to tell people that F12 works like eject for keyboards without it (though, honestly, that is rather cool). We’re here to tell those that already know how to use their Mac how to use it better. We’re here to show you how it works. We’re here to tell you how, when, and why your Mac does what it does. And you can help, if you like. In addition to a semi-regular staff we’re also taking articles from users. If you think you have something you’d like to write about, please do so. Instructions are in the FAQ. Thanks for stopping in!
About Adam Knight
Author Biography Adam Knight is one of the founders of Mac Geekery and is a geek at heart. Programmer by day, hacker by night, his daily life revolves around the Macintosh platform, which he has been a user and programmer for since the early days of System 7 when his LCII replaced his Apple //c. In-between tech jobs, he’s managed to learn the basics of any web hacker: PHP, MySQL, Perl, Apache, Linux, *BSD, and the intricacies of ./configure —prefix=~/bombshelter/. Today, codepoet is concentrating on blogging again, writing some software for the Mac by himself (including Notae) and for his company (such as Switchblade) and has a few other toys coming out soon. Bug him over AIM or email [link fixed]. |
