Rich Sadowsky has been writing software for about 25 years. He’s been known to take executive jobs at startups (CTO, VP Eng…) but is always hand’s on designing and writing code. His current projects involve components written in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, PHP, C#, Java and others. Sadowsky still remembers his first version of Turbo Pascal for CP/M on a 5 1/4” floppy and distributing software he wrote on 8” floppies for early personal computers. He is best known for inventing and implementing LiveUpdate at Symantec in 1996-7, but Rich has been writing game-changing software for over 20 years.
Mr. Sadowsky is considered an expert Windows programmer with a focus on Systems Level stuff. He grew tired of corrupted registries, lost data, daily security vulnerabilities and regular rebooting. As a technologist, he always had alternative platforms like Apple’s offerings nearby. As OS X began to mature, Rich found the Mac became his first choice. Even as a CTO he has selected Macs and built one company end-to-end with Apple technology including Apple’s industrial strength XServes.
