Amina is a retired computer professional who started in the bronze age of computers when mainframes were rewired to change a program. She spent most of her mainframe time on HP machines, working with the creators of RISC architecture, although not in that notable endeavor. She spent 20 years as a computer consultant for non-profit agencies to try to bring them kicking and screaming into the 19th century at least… Sometimes it didn’t work. When hauling 80lb monitors down flights of stairs became problematical, she turned to creating software for non-profits with her company, 42Software LLC. The company eventually had to close it’s doors when she was unable to find people who knew enough about Macs to perform simple verification procedures. It happens when you live in the shadow of Microsoft. By that time, with eyesight rapidly failing and several internal systems getting long tone errors, she retired to knit, crochet, and work on her biography. She died shortly after that and now haunts this site. Warning: She had a 57,000 word vocabulary and she still isn’t afraid to use it.
